    Privacy, in plain language.

    TL;DR

    Your UniSave library is stored locally on your device and syncs through the UniSave backend when you use an account. We do not sell your data or use saved content to train models. AI only processes cleaned content when you enable AI features.

    Data we keep

    To operate sync, authentication, subscriptions, and AI enrichment, UniSave may keep these data categories:

    • Account identifier from anonymous auth, Sign in with Apple, or Google sign-in.
    • Saved item data you choose to store: URLs, titles, extracted text, notes, tags, collections, summaries, and timestamps.
    • Subscription state, renewal date, and App Store transaction id.
    • Crash logs, errors, and request ids when diagnostics are enabled; logs are not used for advertising.
    • Aggregate usage counts for capacity planning and abuse prevention.

    What we do not collect

    UniSave does not sell data and does not collect:

    • Advertising identifiers or cross-app tracking identifiers.
    • Browser history beyond URLs you explicitly save into UniSave.
    • Contacts, precise location, photo library, or clipboard contents outside content you intentionally share or paste into the app.
    • Search queries for advertising or profiling.

    How we use what we keep

    Data is used to sign you in, sync your library, save bookmarks, enrich content, enable Pro, support/debug the service, and prevent abuse. We do not use it for advertising, resale, or model training.

    Third parties

    UniSave uses the UniSave backend for sync/API, the App Store for purchases, Google/Apple for sign-in, Sentry or equivalent diagnostics for crash reporting when enabled, and an AI provider for summaries/tags when AI features are active.

    We do not embed advertising SDKs, attribution SDKs, Facebook Pixel, or Google Analytics for advertising tracking.

    AI processing

    When AI is enabled, UniSave sends cleaned title/body text to a model provider for summarisation and tagging.

    • We send the content needed to summarize, URL/domain context when needed, and a request id for retry/debug.
    • We do not send advertising ids, contacts, precise location, or data outside your UniSave library.
    • The provider is not allowed to use your inputs to train models under our service configuration.
    Do not want AI processing? Settings -> AI -> Off. Manual saving, manual tagging, and local search continue to work.

    Your rights

    You can access, export, delete, restrict, and withdraw consent for AI, diagnostics, and aggregate counts in Settings or by contacting privacy@unisave.io.

    If you reside in the EEA, UK, or California, we respond to privacy requests within 30 days.

    Children

    UniSave is not directed to children under 13, or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction. If you believe a child has signed up, email privacy@unisave.io and we will delete the account.

    Changes to this policy

    We update this page when we change something material. The version and effective date at the top reflect the current document. Older versions are kept at unisave.io/privacy/history.

    We will notify in-app at least 30 days before any change that materially expands what we collect.
